LIVE symposium organizers launched the first symposium in 2010 and since then the symposium is organized on a yearly basis, aiming to promote the educational activities of the Institute of Vascular Diseases in the field of vascular surgery and medicine.

From the beginning of the organization of LIVE symposiums, the Directors’ objectives were to organize and host a symposium that would be scientifically rewarding, financially successful and personally memorable for delegates. As you already know this highly scientific event was based on the combined cooperation of the Academic Vascular Surgery Departments of five Universities in Greece in collaboration with the Stony Brook Medical Center from the U.S.A., in an effort to combine scientific, teaching, administrative and financial forces.

Taking under consideration the economical crisis, each year the LIVE Directors try to make the symposium easily accessible in terms of location and economics by keeping the same low prices for the registration fee of all delegates and (perhaps most importantly) the prudently managing all expenses, opting for economic symposium venues and low prices for hotel accommodation.

This year’s symposium will be hosted in Thraki Palace Hotel & Conference Center in Alexandroupolis, from May 24th – 26th 2012. A 3-day scientific programme has been carefully designed to emphasize underlying scientific developments important to the diagnosis and management of vascular diseases.

LIVE 2012, as the two previous symposiums, will host a wide range of sponsorship opportunities in order to support sponsors’ marketing aims, among which the following stand out:

• A commercial exhibition (400 m²), which will run for the duration of the Symposium.
• Advertisements in the symposium material.
• Sponsored educational workshops (in cooperation with the course directors) can be scheduled, which will take place in specific time slots.
